How can I clean living room furniture and a mattress that has been in an outside storage unit?

I have stored suede living room furniture and a mattress in an outside storage unit and would now like to move it into my new house. However, I am uncomfortable moving it in my house until it has had some type of cleaning. I have contacted an uphostery cleaning business who says he can't do it. Who cleans these items? Is there something I can do myself?

Suede cleaning is tough - you need to talk to a furniture restoration firm if it really needs cleaning. Self-cleaning of suede is basically out other than dabbing fresh stains - it so easily takes on stains and discoloration from most cleaners.

A mattress you could probably just vacuum well and hit it with some Fabreeze fabric cleaner, unless it smell mildewy or has bug or rodent holes eaten in it, in which case I would junk it.

For more suggestions I would google - furniture cleaning tips.
