How do I decide whether to put cork or bamboo for my floor in my bedroom?

We are pulling up the carpeting because of allergies. We have floor board underneath the carpet. The bedroom does not get direct sun. I am worried about the effect of the weight of a queen-size bed and a dresser on the cork. One installer tells us that the cork would bounce back a few weeks after the furniture is removed. Another says that isn't necessarily true.

Relatively easy answer. Which one do you like the look of best?
Cork is soft. Who cares if it gets "dented" where you put your bed--do you plan on moving the location of the furniture every week? Probablly not, so don't worry about this. HOWEVER, because cork is soft it is not happy with high heels, wheels, or other things you might use in traffic areas.
Hardwood is an all time winner. Nice looks. True hardwood can be continuely refinished.
Ask about the finish on the cork you are considereing. Some require "regular" maintainence.

Again, really the biggest issue is looks. ALL flooring wears out. If you plan on staying at least 5 years get what you want.
