How can I effectively exterminate springtails ?

Evidently, I've got springtail activity on my property. At first the problem was subtle, but there is clearly an infestation. It's so bad that the little critters have made it inside the home and linger in the bathtub and sink. Moreover, there are thousands crawling all over the concrete driveway. I've tried pesticides, exterminators and nothing works! Anyone have suggestions to help me get rid of them?

If you google Springtail, you will find several articles from university cooperative extension services - always about the best source of gardening/vegetation questions.

Google Springtail eradication and you will find a number of articles on how to find their nesting srea, and to eradicste them there.

I also know there are effective pesticides for them - our regular Chemlawn service in a prior home added an additional chemical to eradicate them - total success in about a month. Unfortunately, I don't remember what the chemical was (if I ever knew).

The chemical is probably bifenthren and a product called Cyonara. Look up the site below for a great article, and answers via email if needed. See source below and hang on for 1-2 years of ever diminishing springtails. First treatment is dramatic, so take heart. We are in our first round, and can't wait to get to maintenence-only.
