Many locksmiths can make a new key for you that will open the doors, though laser-cut keys they may or may not have the ability to do.

If you need a key that can start the car then you probably need a transponder key (with the chip in the key) unless quite an old car, and for that you will typically need the vehicle ID # (VIN #) and your vehicle registration as proof of ownership - and it will almost certainly be a couple of day delivery order item, not on-hand except at a dealership.

Cost can vary widely - can be $50-100 range for a door key unless special type, transponder keys and fobs can run from a couple hundred all the way up to pushing a thousand $ at some high-end dealers like Mercedes and BMW and Porsche.
