How do I keep light beige grout from turning dark?

Installed new floor tile 8 months ago. Light beige grout that Carpet 1 assured me would not turn dark. Have had to scrub the grout every other month because it turns an ugly dingy brown. Scrubbed so much that the grout has been scrubbed away in places. No help from Carpet1. They won't return my calls. I have "sealed" the grout, but that doesn't seem to work.

Should have been double sealed right off - then keeping it clean is same as with white grout - damp soapy mop regularly (at least weekly, more in tracked-in dirt areas) and keep mopping water from sitting in the grout - you have to mop floor first, then go back and wipe the grout clean or it will turn grundgy.

Assuring you it would not turn dark was a real stretch of the truth on their part for any light colored grout in floors - and unfortunately I bet it was not guaranteed in the contract. If it was, have them come back and redo it every time it turns dark ofr as long as your warrnaty is in effect, or for as long as your state mandatory home warranty is, whichever is longer.

Soundslike once all is said and done, time for an appropriate Review on Carpet1.
