How do I get mascara stains out of towels

When I remove my make up at night, there is always a little mascara left which then stains my towels. Any hints on how to get the stains out?

TRY FINGERNAIL POLISH REMOVER OR RUBBING ALCOHOL, BUT TESTIN AN INCONSPICUOUS PLACE FIRST IT MAY DISCOLOR THE CLOTH.

I hope you did not already wash and heat dry them. Is it waterproof? or standard?

Shout with a little cold water and slight rubbing before putting it into the machine should work - wash in cold water, with Chlorox 2 in it as well and I do the extra step of washing on "heavy duty"
Check the towel BEFORE you put it into the dryer!
If there are still stains on it, dilute Chlorox to into a dish tub and soak the towel, then pour a tiny bit directly on the stain - it should foam up a bit - a good sign. After a few seconds or a minute rub the stain and chlorox between your fiingers and soak for several hours - ring out and start over.
Still a problem, and a pale towel, bleach it out in hot water on "Heavy duty."

You should have no problem unless you already tried and failed - it is probably baked in.

I admit, I can be lazy Friday and Saturday nights, but I've never had anything ruined by my mascara.

Let me know if this does not work.
