How do I get a refund for a big deal offer if no work is performed?

I bought a big deal and the vendor couldn't do the work for technical reasons. He wanted to refund the coupon and said I needed to contact you.

Buyer Beware. I have been in contact with Customer Service for 2-3 weeks now, and I have been told I cannot get a refund for the Big Deal. I am either stuck with a contractor who I do not want to hire or use the money from the Big Deal for other services - even if I don't need any other type of work done.

I was told that Angie will keep my money for a year and then I will be stuck to hire the original contractor at full price. This has turned into a scam, in my opinion.

I'm in the process here. I was told after thirty days you are out of luck with getting actual money back. even if the contractor could schedule you for a month later. I did the work myself, thinking i saved $99. Not the greatest business practice. Angies List gets an "D"
