How do I repair a cracked marble countertop

You need a countertop sales and installation contractor - unless the crack was due to something being dropped on it or someone sitting on it, it probably needs resetting, as a spontaneous crack is usually because the shimming underneath it was not supporting it fully.

A crack partway through can be repaired with special adhesive - one all the way through they usually recommend replacement for appearance sake, but if you want can be doweled (if thick enough) and cemented back together in may cases.

I actually do this for a living specializing in stone applications, the first step you would need to take for sure is call a granite shop and explain your issue. You may find that a few places may be just fabricating shops but they may recommend someone. as far as the crack goes which I myself being in the business id have to see it first but in many cases ive been able to make the crack disappear or make it very hard to find. As far as the durability of the repair if done correctly, the bond of the adhesive should stronger than the stone itself. its appearance that most are concerned about. there are many variables in these situations, call someone specializing in this type of work and have them look at it, more questions call 225-603-7563
