How do I get rid of an old motor home?

I have a 1975 class "C" motor home sitting on the side of my house that I need to get rid of. The engine should work but it hasn't been started in 5 years (no battery). It has roof and rain damage. Probably only good for scrap. How do I get rid of it?

In many areas there are charities that take them off your hands for free and sell them to junkyards for parts or to scrap dealers for scrap metal. Google a search phrase like this, with your town name inserted of course - non-profit junk car donation Milwaukee, Wi . MakeAWish Fundation and CarsForVeterans are two I know of that take junkers. Some may not take a motor home though - but you don't know till you try.

Otherwise, contact junkyards and used auto parts dealers to see if one wants to take it off your hands - likely for free, I doubt most would want to pay you for it if they have to pay to have it hauled off.

You could also call local RV repair and service place to see if they know who takes old RV's like this.
