There is no "standard size" - modern 2-car garages commonly have a 16' wide rollup door and run 18-20' wide by 20' long for cars, and 20-24' wide by 22-25' long for normal SUV/pickup use, and 2-1/2 car garages (leaving room for workbenches or water heater/furnace along one side) commonly run 22-24' wide by 20-28 feet long depending on whether sized for cars or trucks/boats. And of course RV sized garages have much higher roofs and can go up to 50' long.

A typical full-size car and normal compact SUV is less than 16 feet long, with many SUV's going to about 18 feet long, and pickups typically in the 16-20 foot range but the longest superduty or larger than 3/4 ton ones can reach about 22 feet long. Add on walk-around room around the end of 2 feet minimum (4 feet if you want to go around both ends, or 4-5 feet maybe at back if opening a hatch or taking things out of a pickup while in the garage) and that gives you about 20-22' garage length for a car or compact SUV, 22-26 feet for full size SUV's and pickups, and 24-30' for extended bed or heavy duty pickups, which may also have height issues in standard garages which commonly have only 6-1/2 or 7 foot doorway and support beam headroom.
