I am not sure if you are talking a manufacturer vinyl mural, or a custom-painted one?

For a roll-on vinyl type, probably about $150-200. For a custom painted one, depends on the market value of the painter - for an undergraduate college art student maybe a few hundred $ - for a name brand painter maybe a few hundred thousand $.

If I were you, I would seriously think about putting it on the wall itself if that small - you can get sheet backing products up to 5x10 feet at any lumberyard, and special order to 8x16 feet, and art canvas comes standard up to 6'x300 feet or 12' by 165' - big enough for any household mural, so your artist could custom stretch a canvas on a backer board or frame for you. For about 4x8' (normal sheet size) I would have it painted on a art canvas panel with a wood or metal frame around it, so you can move it easily when you move, or sell it if you get tired of it but it is marketable. In other words, do it as a painting, not a mural. That way you can also adjust the stretching as it ages, to remove any wrinkles or ridges, whereas if it is a premanufactured mural and you put it direct on the wall, you risk wrinkles in applying it, and possible cracking if the drywall cracks.
