How much should it cost to clean AC coils and blower? We have been told the unit must be taken out to be cleaned.

Common problem on equipment that has not been maintained annually and/or doesn't have te best filters.

"Pull and Clean" as we commonly call it , is costly and takes time.

You should consider a 4" thick merv 12 rated pleated filter, so that your "wet" indoor coil is not the "best" filter in the air stream.

As always, find the best AC Contractors on Angie's List!
