How much does it cost to convert oil furnace to propane

seven year old miller in mobile home. Need oil tank drained and removed, furnace converted to propane, tanks installed

Note: there may not be a payback for converting your oil furnace. Oil burns even hotter than natural gas or propane. So before you pull the trigger, work up the numbers. If this can't pay for itself in like 5 years or less, it may not be worth the time/expense.

Another option to consider is to get a propane tank and simply connect it up to a ventless space heater - they are quite reasonable. A mobile home isn't all that big. I would think that a 30K or 40K BTU heater would do the trick.

Note: if you DO go with a ventless indoor propane heater - make sure you install Carbon Monoxide and CO2 Detectors!
