How much does it cost to frame up a 1800 sq. ft home

Depends on the configuration and your local costs, and of course what you include in the "framing up" - only the framing (including or not including roof trusses or rafter system ?), or excavation/grading and foundation plus the wood framing, etc . Also, are you talking the framing up only or materials too - about a 2:1 difference in cost right there alone ?

You can get some decent average numbers (though for normal size house, about 2500-2800SF these days) by googling your city name added to NAHB Building cost - like this -

The NAHB (National Association of Home Builders) compiles local building cost info for major statistical areas which you can see what the "average" new construction costs by the larger builders of all the elements of a home.
