Depends on whether these are built-in or hanging type speakers. It sounds like you are talking flush mount. For built-ins (cut into the wall or ceiling to mount flush with the wall) I would expect $75-125 or so per pair in ceiling tiles or drywall, maybe $100-150 in wood or panelled surfaces. This assumes you allow use of standard trim molding to finish out the edges - more for fancy edging staining or details or expensive trim woods like walnut or cherry, or for totally concealed speakers where concealing surface does not come with the speaker.

Hanging speakers maybe $15-20/speaker unless so heavy they need special mounting hardware or ledger shelf.

Either way, unless you use a casual handyman expect a minimum charge regardless of amount of work of about $100-150.

Hi there, the piece of advice that we always give at Angie's List is to always get three estimates to get the true idea of the cost of a project.

Although I can't tell you what your proejct will cost, I can point you in the direction of Angie's List Big Deals in your area. If there's a current Big Deal that fits your project, you could net some siginificant savings.

I took the liberty of searching for Big Deals in your area that are current as of 5/15/2013 and found this:

$237 for Full 5.1 Surround Sound System Installation, Including Theater-Grade Wire Concealment and Full Connection

If you're not an Angie's List member, you can still purchase an Angie's List Big Deal, but Angie's List members do get exclusively deeper discounts. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any questions.
