The only correct way to get your answer is to get multiple quotes. Without being able to do a site survey of your home, any wild guesses that someone would give you are just that, a wild guess. A short list of cost modifiers would be:

The distance you want the generator located from your main electrical panel.

The Size of the generator
The distance you need to bring the Natural gas.

The number of circuits you want to feed.

Do you want to have the supply to be so seamless that you dont even know your power went out?

Do you really need your pool or hot tub to operate during a power outage? (some people do)

I tell my customers to start with just supplying the furnace, kitchen, and master suite circuits. and then think about how much more you really need.

Is your area prone to power outages that last just a few hours or do you need to be self sufficient for a few days?

If you keep your car in a garage, don't forget to supply the garage door opener.

Good luck!
