Question DetailsAsked on 10/3/2013

How much should it cost to put crown coat on a chimney, Chimney saver application, and flashing repair-seal?

I live in a Chicago suburb. The chimney is the furnace chimney, not fireplace.

Assuming you are talking only the above-roof portion of the chimney (that rest is inside the building envelope), probably about 3-5 hours depending on how much flashing work is needed - so say about $150-250.

Sounds like you need a Mason, assuming the chimney is stone or brick as I assume - Search the List (in green banner bar) for local Masons and their ratings and reviews.

My second alternative would be a chimney sweep, but many of them are not experienced in flashing installation and that has to be done right to work, so I would find a good mason.
