Depends on your size, and whether you are talking just the cover material or the frame too, and whether a fixed or roller awning.

I will try to give you a rough ballpark - you will have to get quotes or do some web cruising for greater accuracy. I will assume a 15' wide by 10 foot extension awning mounted to house, extending out to fixed posts or self-supporting awning support frame.

1) for fabric replacement only, about $0.50-3/SF depending on quality/weight + about $100-150 labor. For smaller awnings, a totally new unit may well be cheaper, especially if you can install it yourself.

2) for plastic or aluminum awning cover material (permanent, fixed awning) - about $2-4 pladtic, $3-7/SF aluminum, + $200-300 labor

3) for new fixed awning, new, complete installed - about $5-10/SF for fabric depending on if retractable, $13-20/SF for metal or plastic, plus $150-250 install

If you meant a fabric-covered free-standing tent or gazebo type, then a totally new one from a box store may well be cheaper than replacing fabric. About $0.40-3.00/SF depending on fanciness and ruggedness. You could contact manufacturer (if you know it) about cost of a replacement cover, or call a local tent and tarp company about cost of making a new one but almost always cheaper to just replace entire unit if fabric covered.
