How much does it cost to have a service pick up and deliver a chair with in 10 miles

I need to have a recliner pick up at a furniture store and delivered to our home which is within 10 miles.

Easier to negotiate when you are buyin the chair - when for all but low-end models they will generally deliver locally for free. But almost all furniture stores deal with a delivery service that delivers furniture for them - typically get about $25-50/item. So I would call the store and ask about delivery, and see what you can negotiate with them. Even if they do not have a delivery service (rare) they probably know a company who does it.


Lacking that - local Moving and Transfer companies typically charge around $100 give or take for that.


Haulers (Search the List category) can do it too - but as they are junk haulaers primarily, be sure to get agreement on how it is going to be protected from stains, oil, etc.


Or if you have a friend with a pickup, for the price of a pizza and beer or a lunch on you or whatever.
