Question DetailsAsked on 12/14/2014

How much should it cost to do a total remodel of a tiny only bathroom? I was given an estimate of over $30k

This is for total gut and redo. Bath is maybe 6' by 8 1/2 ' nothing special just tub/shower, toliet and sink. I have to pay for light fixture and floor tile extra. I was given 4 week time table to complete and as mentioned theonly bath in small condo located about 35 miles north of Boston I have been trying to have the bathroom fixed for over 15 years and have not had any luck in finding anyone to do it. A bunch of other stuff needs done as well (kitchen, etc). but I need this done first. I am not handy at all and not young so I cannot do any of the work myself.

$30,000 is in the common range for a full tearout single bathroom remodel. You can read a lot more prior questions about remodel costs and issues in the Remodeling - Kitchen and Bath link right under your question.
