Seven ways I can think of, in no particular order

1) burn it, if legal in your area

2) take a sawzall to it and cut up into small enough pieces to fit in a small dumpster that you rent for just a day after it is cut up and ready to trash, maybe burning the wood parts if legal

3) call a Trash Hauler (Search the List) to come take it away

4) call a towing service (Search the List) with tiltbed to winch it up on the bed, and haul it to the dump for you - or local metal recycler if all metal and they accept them

5) if fits your current pickup, temporarily tie or bolt it down and haul to the dump, assuming you can get it off by yourself when you get there. Most dumps accept larger items like that, charging by weight, but have you drive it right to the active dumping face to dump off rather than dump into the collection bins/chutes in the residential dumping area.

6) find a friend with an adequate sized trailer to put it on and tie down for a trip to the dump

7) turn it into a chicken coop, as one of my neighbors did (and no, his neighbors are NOT very happy about it).

Hello, this is Meranda with Angie's List.

You can log in at and search for the category "hauling" to see our top rated junk removal companies in your area. That's probably the easiest solution, but as LCD points out, you could use a dumpster service (also rated on the list) if you want to dismantle it yourself, or take one of the other options he suggests.

If you need help finding someone to haul it away, you can also contact our call center at 1-888-944-5478 or send a written request to for more information. The call center hours are Mon-Fri: 8:30am – 8:15pm ET and Sat: 8:30am – 3:00pm ET
