Question DetailsAsked on 1/23/2012

How does one find a good qualified physician that takes Medicare?

Since moving to another city, I have been unable to find a good competent physician that will take Medicare and a secondary insurance. Angie's list does not give this information. It would be very helpful to seniors that have this problem if your clients would share this information. I live near the Dallas, Denton cities of Texas.

The first step is to have suggestions of physicians that people you trust know. You can call each office and ask. You can also use this site. http://www.medicare.gov/find-a-doctor...

Even following this post with another one asking other people for good physicians in Denton, if you do not know that many people. Best of Luck to you.

I highly doubt you will be able to find one until the nation decides what to do with health care. If the current plan goes forward, you are better off to pay cash because at least cash will get you an appt. The current health care plan will give you insurance that pays hospitals and doctors so little, they will no longer accept gov't insured patients. I don't know about you, but I want health care. Health insurance is irrelevant now.
