How much is a gas line installation for a fireplace. Apple Valley, Mn.

Meter is approximately 20 feet from wood chimney. I want gas line installed so I can put in a gas log kit.

Here are a couple of prior responses to similar questions that should help you - note that gas logs can cause corrosion/moisture problems in the chimney as noted in one of my responses, so just because you are running gas does not mean your chimney never needs inspecting again - more espeically if a bare fire brick or mortared flue instead of clay liners or metal flue. Also, gas logs do not burn the cleanest (there is commonly some partially burned gas), so there is a risk of carbon monoxide poisoning if your chimney flue deteriorates, even though there is no creosote risk, so periodic inspections are recommended.

I recommend every 5 years or so at least initially, could stretch out if no deterioration is showing and you have not had a significant earthquake since last inspection.

Obviously the gas start question above would need the cost of the gas log kit added to get the total install cost for that case.
