Same way you would negotiatebuying a new car - arm yourself with facts on the competition's pricing and offerings, and then talk to a sales rep armed with that ammo to get them to cut their rates - commonly good for 10-20% off, though usually instead of cutting rate they will offer an additional or upgraded package for no extra cost for a year or two. Your position is stronger if you currently have another provider and can tell them you are looking at possibly switching. If no luck with intital sales rep, then talk to a supervisor. If you are making no progress, don't hesitate to hang up and call back and talk to another rep (of course, do not give you name or address up front or the first call will show up in the contact records before the second one).
