How much should i be looking to pay to have old ceramic tile removed , install cement boards and then install tiles

Ballpark number, $7-12/SF usually covers it, assuming there is no water damage in the wall behind the existing tile that has to be fixed first. OF course, more if fancy or high-grade imported tile.
