How to repair a propane/electric refrigerator in a camper trailer

The camper refrigerator will not cool on either the propane or electric setting. Is there something other than replacing it that will get it to work.
Has anyone replaced a camper fridge with a large dorm fridge?

Due to the extraordinary access issues in RV's and campers, I know many plumbers and appliance repairmen will not touch them. I would suggest calling an RV / camper repair service and see if they can help you.

Since the fridge isn't workining on either propane or electric, I suspect a problem with the coolant. If there is a hole in any of the tubing, your best bet is to replace it. Some propane dealers will work on camper/RV fridges but due to their nature (most are very different than residential appliances, your best bet is to go to a Camper/RV dealer.

As for replacing it with a dorm fridge, the obvious problem will be the power supply as most camper systems are DC and the dorm fridge will be AC. I hope this helps.
