5 ton, $6700 to $11000. 1.5 ton $2450 to $4800. Prices are for quality equipmet and quality work. The range in price depends on your choice of equipment ,from standard(minimum efficieny) to variable speed compressor and variable speed indoor fan(maximum efficieny).

Higher efficiency will cost more to buy , but much less each month on your electric bill.

Variable speed indoor fan and compressor will insure the lowest indoor humidity possible , here in steamy Florida. Most cutomers find they can run it 2 or even 3 degrees warmer then their old system, more saving on operating cost.

Replaced mine and reduced my total electric in the first year by 27%. Sealed my air duct system with www.aeroseal.com and saved another 10% on the electric bill.

Many homes here in Florida have oversized AC units and undersized duct systems, be sure to have this checked before replacing your system. Main sign of undersized ducts is , you have noticed the rooms farthest from the indoor unit, are warmer in the summer, and cooler in the winter, compared to the rest of your home.
