Question DetailsAsked on 9/12/2013

How much to replace both glass panels in a sliding glass door. Both glass doors have several cracks.

I own a rental property. I just evicted the last tenants. I noticed a huge spider web crack in the left glass panel. The right side, the side that slides, has several cracks also, but the door slides just fine. However, come winter, these glass panels are going to crumble. How much does it cost to replace both glass panels?

Here is a response to a very similar questions earlier today -

Depending on type of glass and number of layers, can run from a low of about $350 on simple to remove wood doors (ones build like normal windows) to $500 range for aluminum or similar that can be taken apart, to $600-700 for specialty LowE or reflective glass, which I suspect you are not looking for. This price per side.

Some types of vinyl doors are sealed such that the glass cannot reasonable be taken out, so in that case one has to go to the manufacturer for replacement door units to fit in the existing outer frame. Glass Replacement company still the company to do the replacement for you.
