Question DetailsAsked on 12/10/2012

How do you get rid of mouse urine in your broiler of the stove. I am thinking of buying new stove.

The mouse was in the broiler of the stove. No nest just in there I guess at times. I cleaned it with oven cleaner but the smell of mouse urine comes back when I turn on oven. New stove or can I get rid of the smell?

This may be an issue, especially if the oven has been used since you found the urine.

I don't know if there are any household products that can be used however I suggest you try a product you can purchase on the web. It is called Anti Icky Poo and is used for cat/dog urine. If you google the product, it will tell you more about it's use and if it will help.

Wet the surface thouroughly and if possible, leave about 1/8 inch of water. Then apply a heavy dusting of baking soda. When the bubbles stop, wash thoroughly with soap and water. Repeat the process until the smell is gone.
