I'd start by checking with a qualified real estate agent, which you can find by checking Angie's List.

If you need any help accessing the List or need further assistance, just contact our Member Services team at or 1-888-944-LIST (5478). You can also Live Chat with us.

First, ask your Timeshare if there is a procedure that they recommend. Sometimes the Timeshare has a list of willing owners who wish to buy additional shares. Be prepared for the shock of learning that your timeshare's value has reduced, sometimes to zero, and you must give it away or donate it.

Many present Timeshare owners are happy to just find someone who is willing to accept the transfer of their ownership. The transfer process needs to be completed as if it is a real Real Estate Transfer, and it is!

This means that there is settlement money and legal fees involved. Almost always it also means that you own your Timeshare free and clear, and that your fees are paid up.

What you want to avoid is not paying anybody up front money to sell your Timeshare. This is a scam. There are legitimate brokers out there who will list your Timeshare for sale for you honestly, and for a fee, if there is a sale.
