I have a 200 amp meter and breaker box outside can I put a 100 amp box inside or does it have to be 200 amp

What are you trying to accomplish? Generally with a 200amp breaker box, you would add a circiut to that box, for whatever you need to power up, not a 100 amp separate box. Unlikely you could add a 100 amp box, that is going thru a 200 amp box, as you would not have the capacity to do so. You would need a larger breaker box and service entrance cable outside.
