Hi, Stan.

Great question! We always suggest getting detailedestimates from qualified contractors you find on Angie's List, that way you can see an apples-to-apples comparison of the sunroom you want added. Ask them to include the types of materials they'llbe using.

There are many varables. Does your deck have the concrete support for a room addition. Is the support system of the deck adequate to carry room above it. Do you want a 3 season or a 4 season room? Will it be a lean too type roof or gabled (much more expensive).

Best advise build it from scratch Do not use the kits "In 3 days we can have your dream room built" Stick build it, Hire a architect and get a contractor and put REAL windows and doors in it. Ask your county assesor how much the kit sunrooms add to the value of your home? Not much I bet. You can heat your car with single pane windows if you dump enough heat in it but its not a good investment.
