Question DetailsAsked on 2/7/2012

I have an antique chair. It needs re-caning of the seat. Who still canes chairs?

It is cane-woven...like basket weaving. The Lion's Club used to have chairs caned by the blind. I don't know how to explain any better.

Sounds like a beautiful piece!

There's a website called "The Wicker Woman" that specialized in Chair Caning.

Here's a link to people they recommend: http://www.wickerwoman.com/cane-and-b...

Hopefully you can find one on this list near you.
