My guess - something heating up with prolonged sun exposure so normally minor stink becomes noticeable - a dead animall in the walls, fungal growth in walls from pipe leak, or outside garbage can/dumpster/trash bags stinking.

Or possibly as it warms the air pressure changes so you are getting airflow from a place you normally do not - like basement or crawlspace or such, or many times leaking sewer gas - from a trap in the garage or backing laundry room or such which has gone dry from lack of use so is letting sewer gases in during the day when the stack effect is the strongest. Ditto to any floor drain which might have gone dry.

If those simple sources don't pan out (if not able to find but know it is in walls, then your tossup between an animal control specialist (assuming it is dead animal) or plumber (assuming it is leaking pipe).

Here are some links - the first has links to most of the similar questions about odors in the past couple of years, the second has a listing of LOT of potential smell sources, then a bunch of other links (many of which are probably dups of the first refernced answer list).
