I guess the other responders here felt like I did - what exactly do you mean by a "big picture" ?

If you are looking for the steps involved, go to manufacturer websites or how-to sites like This Old House or the many Youtube videos on how to do interior painting.

For typical costs and discussion of the factors affecting cost, there are lots of prior responses to similar questions in the Home> Painting link in Browse Projects, at lower left.

Your initial response misses the boat I think. To clearify I think painting a room is only an example. The real issue for new members (like myself), is to describe the process one takes in order to arrange a contract with the intended provider.

For example; I want to have a qualified merchant clean and re-grout the tile in my home. The merchant I intend to contract with will only honor the posted price if I go through Angies List. I have no problem with this condition; however, I don't know how to go about it within the Angies web site. This may sound rather trivial however after reviewing the list I see nothing to guide me to the intended result.

Not a dificult question if one works for Angie; but since I don't I need some guidence. The ansewer may be within the list but I would rather not waste the time looking for it.
