You can check Angie's List for listings for car dealers and classic car dealers. We also have listings in our Marketplace that include classic and custom cars. If you don't find exactly what you're looking for on the List, you might look at going to an auction or to sites like, ebay motors or These sites have thousands of listings for car sales.

Once you've found a car to buy, check Angie's List Classic Cars for reliable people to help you service, restore and insure your classic. Classic Cars is a national list. You may find that the best person to restore your 1930's gem is in another state. But don't worry, we have transport services on the list too. Good luck!

The suggestion before mine is a good one. Another approach is to start attending Car Shows; preferrably the non-profit / fund raiser types. They are held all spring through fall at air ports, high schools and local eateries, etc.

The car owners are the best network of what to look for, who is selling, where to find parts, repair shops, storage options, etc. These people live for their cars, so I wouldn't be surprised if they didnt' start looking for you and even offer to go with you to view potential buys. After attending a few of these shows and talking with people, you will have some invaluable knowledge, when combined with your Angies List options should allow you to feel comfortable purchasing.
