I have a cotton tree in front of my home would like to get cut down for free. I'm on a fixed income.

Who can help with cutting down my cotton tree in front of my house. I do not have the finances to pay for this service. I am retired. Please help. I live in Garland, Texas

Getting it done for free is a tough one, short of having a friend, relative or neighbor who will do it for you.

If it is interfering with or a hazard to electric lines they will generally take it down for free, though may or may not haul off the wood - depends on company.

Otherwise, all I can think of is contact your local (usually county) senior center coordination or support office and ask if there is any service that can do this for you, but this is not in the normal range of services they provide or coordinate.
