Animals from dogs to horses, listen a lot like small children. They tend to take better direction when you work with them one on one. Even taking fifteen minutes a day with each dog can make a significant difference. The main rule is to be consistent and use sound and rewards. Petsmart carries a clicker that works well for training. My suggestion if you have decided you do not what to do the training yourself is to call your County Cooperative Extension Office and ask them to give you the name of a 4-H dog group leader. They are often willing to take on clients or have a student looking for work. You can also check with local Law Enforcement Canine division for officers interested in work and the local Petsmart should have a list of suggested trainers.I might even ask a local Vet. if they have someone they would suggest. This way you can look at seveal options and opinions. The big thing to consider is that no matter what training your dogs receive they will not follow thru if you do not also receive training and keep things consistent. Best of luck-
