Do you have tuber in your area ?

I guess the normal solution would, for that infrequent an event, find a parent of a friend of your child's who drives to school to bum a ride now and then (with you presumably recriprocating at times). Or is there a neighbor/friend with a child at same school (if child would usually be taking school bus or walking to school) who you can dropyour child off with and the child can stay with for a bit in the morning, and then go to school with that child.

Some daycares (Search the List Category - Child Care) also run shuttle buses to and from local schools - though of course you are paying say $40-80/day for the daycare in that case.

Some churches run before-school and after school daycare and shiuttle buses - check with yours.

Some areas also have regular taxi or airport shuttle companies who run school delivery shuttles.

If the need is because of you having to get to work early (as opposed to work related travel) then check into whether the school has a before-school activity period - some schools do, for parents who need to do early dropoffs (at a fee, of course).

I suspect newwindowman meant Uber, not tuber - but I certainly would not send a high school girl to school using Uber.

I presume you do not have city bus routes that would suffice ?

I suppose, push comes to shove if you can't arrange ride-sharing with another parent or maybe pay a non-working (retired, whatever) neighbor baby-sitter type to do it on occasion, if you had to send a child by public individual transport, showing her the most direct main roads route to the school so she is able to recognize the route and insist thge cab take that route, then calling the major brandname cab company in your area for transport, and have her call you and provide the cab number and driver name off his license as soon as she gets into the cab (so the driver KNOWS his name and cab number have been provided to the parent), and having her contact you the instant she is at school - or maybe even stay on the phone with you while en route, would be an acceptable safety measure. Though it also calls on her to have the maturity and judgement to be able to commit to visually screening the cab driver BEFORE getting in and rejecting his cab if she gets a bad vibe.

You could also ask the school adminstration if they know of any school shuttle services that serve their school.
