Question DetailsAsked on 12/3/2017

I want to file a complaint against a company on Angie's list

I used a coupon to purchase remote computer tune up and the tech changed the settings on my printer so I can't print or view what is printing--I did not have this problem, before he worked on it
I called them back and they said (a different tech) that to fix it would be an additional charge
The company was Hello Tech in Los Angeles CA

I would eMail Customer Service - or if you have a full-price membership, call them.

First, with printer off, turn computer on and let it wake up, then turn the printeron - when the computer recognizes it, it may then work OK.

You may just have to go through the Print Setup menu and reselect the options there you want (B&W, Color, Portrait or Landscape, paper size, etc).

If that does not do it, or it does not pull up the printer you have in the setup menu - then he probably reloaded your OS - meaning, unless they scrubbed some files, all you have to do is go to the Settings menu for your computer, select PRINTERS and then the printer model you have, go through the settings setup menu (the previous printer settings should still be there as you had them unless he scrubbed the printer drivers or reloaded the OS from scratch) and at the end click OK or Install or such.

To get them to do it, I would talk to the OWNER of the service (since evidently not a one-man outfit) and tell him the repair was incorrect - they may be able to talk you through it on the phone.

If no satisfaction from them or AL (or even if so) you can at least Write A Review (at right end of green banner bar above) to warn future customers of this issue you had - which is a VERY common one when the OS is messed with.
