I need to find buyers for my storage unit items in Raleigh NC

I have a storage unit with a lot of household items that I will no longer be using. I am looking to sell or donate the majority to clean it out

You first need to figure out whether you want anything out of the unit - if so, you need to go through and organize it first - keep stuff (thoroughly blocked off so it can't accidentlaly be taken, or moved out to your house), then throw-oput stuff and donate/stuff segregated.

Here are a few previous similar question with answers which include links to a number of previous similar questions with answers which address who can do it, how much you might get in payment from estate buyers, used goods stores, auictioneers, etc - and also addressing inventory/appraisal needs if part of an estate (for estate tax purposes and estate valuation for items going to beneficiaries) or for income tax purpsoes (if donating).
