I am looking for a new gas dryer - any recommendations

Only one person so it will not get over-used. Does not have to be huge - just decent sized

You are only looking for something to dry clothes, not a work of art or an electronic device to play with - so ignore all the hype and "space age" styling and just buy a simple, non-electronic (mechanical timer, zero displays or electronics) dryer and avoid the needless expense and added maintenance costs of the electronic units.

My recommendation - Whirlpool (incliuding Kenmores made by them) - about 7 cubic foot is the normal size, around $300 on sale, around $350-400 normal pricing at box stores and major appliance stores. PLus typically around $70 delivery and setup charge from most stores if you do not have a vehicle able to move it (and haul old one to recycling or dump) or if you would have to hire someone to come help with moving them in/out of your house. The delivery and oldl unit haul-away charge is a bargain in that case.
