Question DetailsAsked on 6/10/2015

I have a two handle faucet and no hot water comes out. All other faucets in the house have hot water.

When I turn off the hot water supply under sink and turn on hot water handle, no water comes out. But when I turn on the hot water supply, it is always cold.

You don't say what the right (cold) faucet does - if it runs hot, then the flex tubing from the shutoff valves are connected to the wrong sides of the faucet assembly - usually easier to swap at the shutoff valves then at the faucet connections - after shutting off the shutoff valves of course.

If cold faucet is running cold, and the hot side also runs cold then it is connected to cold water piping - you would need to trace the piping to find where it is connected and where it is easiest to connect to a hot pipe.

This assumes this is not a new problem - if a new problem and it used to work, then the hot water supply that supplies that pipe is turned off or dead. If you have an under-cabinet on-demand hot water supply unit at that faucet, then it is either dead or power/gas is off to it.

If a new house for you, if this faucet is a long ways from the hot water heater, you might have to let it run awhile - as long as a minute or so in a very long run like with a hacienda ranch where this faucet is at the other end of the house from the water heater.
