IF usable, sometimes Goodwill or Salvation Army and such will remove from inside home if there is a lot of usable stuff, even though they usually require it be put outside.

If basically usable - an in-house auction would be an option, using a professional auctioneer, if basically a full household worth. Non-sale items would have to be removed first, or LOCKED in a room so they do not get sold by accident. Auctioneer typically gets 20-30% cut of gross proceeds.

Having an antique store and used furniture/Value Village type store owner come through is another option - they will come and haul away what they think they can sell, paying you a nominal amount for usable stuff - maybe 10% of used market value for normal household stuff, more for antiques (though they should be appraised first to determine fair value).

IF junk - then a Handyman or a Trash Removal contractor is what you are looking for (Search the List) - a handyman could help haul to a rented dumpster parked in the drive or under an upstairs window (frequently better to use smaller moderate size and put it several different places to minimize walking distance, rather than a single 20 or 40 footer). Trash removal man also might be equipped to haul off for you in dumptruck, but if you have a lot of stuff, renting dumpsters is commonly cheaper than paying a junk hauler for many trips to the dump in a pickup or small junk trailer.

You would surprised what you can get rid of via garage sale as well.

I agree with LCD, if you don't need or want the items, it is likely they can be repurposed for someone else that is in need.

The Salvation Army is one of the more well run and honorable organizations I have ever dealt with.
