You can find a lot of previous similar questions from people looking for free cutting down and removal of trees for the wood - look in the Lawn and Garden - Tree Service link in Browse Projects at lower left.

Easier said than done in most cases, though getting rid of the firewood size pieces AFTER they are cut and stacked in the yard is easy enough. In reading the prior responses, pay attention to the risk factors - certainly uyou can Craigslist and Smoking Joe will come and cut them down - may fell them through your power lines or house or trees you want left intact, and likely will leave the yard a mess if given the opportunity to just high-grade what he wants to take - and expect a nice lawsuit if he cuts his leg half off with the chainsaw doing it.

The responses also address types of companies who do this sort of work, or will come take free wood.
