I'm located in Cary, NC and need wood chips for my garden. If anyone is willing to give away wood chips, please contact me at 561-866-0971.

I'd look for your local tree service people for this. They often have chips they'd like to be rid of. I get free chips anytime through one tree service in my area.

Remember that the chips will be large, somewhat like pine bark nuggets. So if you need them smaller, YOU will have to run them through a smaller-size-output shredder to get a more manageable size. I've been doing this for years and it works quite well.

I'm in Cary as well. Like the other answer, I get my wood chips from trees companies. In this area, I'd suggest Matthews Tree Service.
