Question DetailsAsked on 5/2/2012

I have a very modern, three story house that needs new siding. It must be vertical probably using a material that comes in large panels.

Vinyl siding or anything that has a horizontal pattern can not be used. I know there are materials for this sort of application - metal, cement composite panels for example. Does anyone in the SW Virginia area have such a product?

LP has a product called "Smart Side" that works well. It caries a 25 year warranty and comes in pre-primed sheets. Also, James Hardi products has a fiber cement 4x8 sheet siding that will also give you a break on your insurance if installed properly in most instances due to its fire resistance. Both are sold at Lowe's and Home Depot as well as independent distributors.
