Here is a similar question with answer which might help -

I don't remember how Caradco windows specifically open - they phased out probably 15-20 years ago, and Jeld Wen website does not have info on that which I could find, though they do still sell parts. (They bought the company long ago but phased the window out).

Normally with double-sash windows like this - you lift the lower sash a few inches, release the tabs or fingers or pull the pins that hold it in place at the sides, tilt the top of the bottom sash toward you to roughly horizontal, then lift up on one side at the point there it is hooked into the slide track to tilt it up out of the track. Here is a short Youtube video on that procedure FYI -

However - with some makes there is a gap in the track which you line the wheel or slide up with and then pull it towards you and out that way.

If removing because the glass needs replacement, note commonly that can be done in-place without removing the sash - or the glass replacement company (after first coming to measure and order the custom-fit glazing unit) comes and takes it out to put the new glass in.
