I replaced shower cartridge but little or no water coming out shower head. Can I fix this?

I have hot water but little or low cold water flow in the shower. I read online that when this happens the shower cartridge should be replaced. So I took out the old cartridge and replaced it with a new Moen shower cartridge but that did not fix it. How can I fix this? Could there be a clog somewhere? If so how do I get rid of it?
