If you use the Answer This Question button right under your question to give details about what the problems were, perhaps we can provide some meaningful advice.

Other alternatives include invoking the bond on the contractor, withholding final payment till corrected, suing, or using the AL dispute resolution process to try to negotiate it - do a review with C or lower rating and they will contact you about details aqnd whether you want to try the resolution system.

You can join angie's list to leave a negative feed back, you can also file a complaint at the BBB, did they get a permit? you can contact the city they got a permit with, sorry you are having issues with your roofer

best of luck

Hello, this is Meranda with Angie's List.

I'm sorry to hear about your bad experience with this contractor. Even as a non-member, you can leave feedback about a company you hired. Other members will be able to read your review before hiring the business, but non-member reviews do not currently factor into a company's overall grade.

You could join Angie's List yourself to access the full site, reviews AND the Complaint Resolution team when you submit that review. (Join with the promo code ANSWERS to get 20% off your annual membership.) As an added benefit of membership, when members submit a review with a grade below C, they can go through our Complaint Resolution Process. In that case, one of our staff members will contact the company on their behalf to try to reach a solution/resolution for them.

You also may find help in this article from our Newsroom about what to do when a contractor screws you over.

Good luck!
